Constantine II, (A.D. 337-340), AE folles, issued as Caesar, 324-5, Lyons mint, (2.76 grams), obv. laureate bust to left, draped and cuirassed of Constantine II, around CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C, rev. campgate, six layers, two turrets, star above, around PROVIDEN TIAE CAESS, in exergue PLG, (S.3948, RIC 232, B 190); another issued as Caesar, 324-5, London mint, (3.06 grams), obv. laureate bust to right, seen from behind, draped and cuirassed, around CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C, rev. campgate, six layers, two turrets, star above, PROVIDEN TIAE CAESS, in exergue PLON, (S.3948, RIC 296). Deep green patina, extremely fine, as struck. (2)
