Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochus III (the Great), (223-187 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.90 grams), Series III, Seleucia on Tigris mint, issued from 204 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus III to right, hornlike lock above ear, rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, on right **BASILEWS*, to left **[A]NTIOCOU*, in exergue monogram, (cf.S.6886, SC 1167.1, Newell ESM 254, AHNS 858, SNG Von Post 576). High relief, lightly toned very fine/good very fine and scarce.
