Edward VIII, 1937 dated crown for Scotland, 'Patina' retrospective pattern series, proof struck in .925 sterling silver, obverse, portrait of King right by Percy Metcalfe, date at end of legend, reverse, crowned Scottish shield with ER, struck with milled edge (illustrated); together with proof versions struck in gold coated copper piedfort, another in aluminium, another in silver coated piedfort, all with milled edges. FDC, first toned, each is one of only 12 pieces made. (4)
