Edward VIII, 1936 dated crown for Great Britain, 'Patina' retrospective pattern series, three proofs, one silver coated piedfort, another golden alloy, another nickel silver, all with plain edge, obverse, portrait of King to right by Percy Metcalfe, reverse, crowned shield within garter, this group each one of only 15 pieces made of each type; another undated crown for Great Britain, as a proof struck in .925 sterling silver, obverse, portrait of King right by Donald R Golder, reverse, crowned shield within garter, struck with plain edge, being one of only 12 pieces made (illustrated). FDC and very rare. (4)
