Description

Edward VIII, 1936 dated crown for Great Britain, 'Patina' retrospective pattern series, proof struck in .925 sterling silver, obverse, portrait of King to right by Percy Metcalfe, reverse, MODEL struck with plain edge, others struck in aluminium with plain edge, piedfort copper with plain edge, and silver coated piedfort with plain edge. FDC, with only 7 examples made of each type and all very rare. (4)
