Domitian, (A.D. 81-96), AE as, Rome mint, issued A.D. 86, (10.40 grams), obv. laureate head of Domitian to right, around IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM COS XII CENS PER P P, rev. two oval shields crossed, with vexillum, spears, trumpets in background, S C across field, (cf.S.2792, RIC 372, C.537). Full flan with dark green patina, some mild corrosion, otherwise good very fine and scarce in this condition.
