Ceylon, (Sri Lanka), Anonymous issue, kahavanu or base gold stater, 10th-11th century A.D., (approximately 4.3 grams each), De Silva and Codrington type III fine style, variety described with four annulets and ball, 'lotus and adahanda' (10), (cf.De Silva 34, M.825-5a, Cod. 10 IIIA, p.57 Pl.III, 52).
