Henry III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross issue, class 3c, issued 1248-1250, ADA/M ON/NEV/ECA, Newcastle mint, (S.1364, N.988). Weak on a few letters, otherwise very fine and scarce.
Ex. Richard Cyril Lockett collection with his ticket and illustrated on supplementary plate 77 (row 9 no 1), Glendining's June 6-9 1955 (lot 1204 part) and with Dave Hess, Baton Rouge Louisiana envelope.
