Ceylon, (Sri Lanka), Anonymous issue, Kahavanu or base gold stater, 10th-11th century A.D., (4.42 grams), De Silva and Codrington type I fine style, 'trisula', (not noted in Codrington, RRR), (cf. de Silva 22, cf.M.825-5a, cf.Cod.8 A(2), p.55 Pl.III, 46). Good very fine and very rare.
