The Royal Bank of Queensland Limited, Brisbane, five pounds, dated 1 January 1887 (date printed), not numbered, on paper with three official perforations holes, proof, no signatures, no watermarks, imprint of 'Perkins Bacon & Co. London', vignette of Royal Arms with supporters in centre, 'FIVE' in three oval or rectangular geometric frames in three corners, states 'On demand I Promise to pay to the Bearer FIVE POUNDS Sterling. Brisbane ... For The Royal Bank of Queensland Limited', on back geometric name and value tablet and numeral 5 on each side of the back, blue on white, (Vort-Ronald, cf.Fig.220 and 221 [this for pound an issued note], [p.213-214], comments p.213-4 on bank, also Tomlinson p.91 a cancelled pound note illustrated). Good extremely fine and very scarce.
