C. FONTEIUS, (114-113 B.C.), silver denarius, (2.728 grams), obv. Janus head, T to left, * to right, rev. galley with pilot and three rowers, C.FONT ligated below, ROMA in exergue, (S.167, Cr.290/1, Syd.555, RSC Fonteia 1). Surface roughness, otherwise nearly very fine and scarce.
