EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.038 grams), Sidon mint, obv. head of Ptolemy I to right wearing aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front **SI*, around traces of **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU*, (cf.S.7772, Sv.713, SNG Cop 506-7). Bright, obverse and reverse banker punchmarks, otherwise nearly very fine and very scarce.
