MYSIA, Pergamon, (c.92-88 B.C.), silver cistophoric tetradrachm, (12.136 grams), obv. cista mystica containing serpent, all within ivy wreath, rev. bow in case between two coiled serpents, to left monogram of **PER*, above **AS*/PRU monogram, to right serpent entwined thyrsus, (cf.S.3948, Kleiner [ANSMN 23], Type 29, Pinder -, example in ANS Strauss Collection, SNG von Aulock -). Dark tone, very fine and rare.
