THRACE, Pautalia, Marcus Aurelius as Caesar, (A.D. 138-161), AE 24, (9.678 grams), obv. bare head draped and cuirassed bust to right of Marcus Aurelius, around M AVP H**L*IOC OYHPOC KAIC, rev. bearded river god reclining to left, holding branch in left hand, around **PAUTALIA*C, in exergue **OULPIA*C, (S.-, Varbanov 4435 (This Coin, illustrated p.381), BMC -, Ruzicka 24 [p.47]). With attractive dark green surface patina, good very fine and rare.
