ITALY, Bruttium, Petelia, (280-216 B.C.), AE 20, (8.21 grams), obv. veiled head of Demeter to right, wreathed with barley, dotted border, rev. naked Zeus facing striding to left, hurling thunderbolt and holding sceptre, in two lines **[P]ETH [L]INWN*, (S.678, cf.SNG Cop. 1907, SNG Munich 1548). Attractive dark green patina, good very fine and very scarce.
