Castlemaine Agricultural & Horticultural Society, 1868, handcrafted medal in silver (56.5mm), plain silver disc with an ornate floral design surround and swivel suspension from a scroll clasp, obverse, a central overlay of a cast silver bunch of grapes and leaves, inscribed around 'Agricultural & Horticultural Society Castlemaine', inscribed on reverse 'Best Colonial White Wine / Presented / by / J.W.Lyon / to / Mr Thos Meredith / 1st Prize / Vintage 1868'. Extremely fine and rare.
