Phrygia, Apameia, 88-76 B.C., silver cistophoric tetradrachm, (12.45 grams), obv. cista mystica containing serpent, all within ivy wreath, rev. bow in case between two coiled serpents, to left [A]**PA*, above MYI**S*/KOY, to right two flutes, (S.5113, BMC 15, Kleiner (Essays Thompson) Series XI, obverse die 19, SNG Cop. 164, SNG von Aulock 8337). Dark patina, worn obverse die, otherwise fine/very fine and rare.
