Sicily, Syracuse, reign of Agathokles, (317-285 B.C.), AE 20, (8.27 grams), obv. bust of Artemis to right, quiver at shoulder behind, **SWTEIRA*. rev. above and below winged thunderbolt **[AG]AQOKLEO[S] / [B]ASILEOS*, (S.1200, BMC 422, McClean 2858, SNG ANS 708ff.); Syracuse, Hieron II, (275-216 B.C.), AE 19, (6.324 grams), obv. Poseidon head to left wearing tainia, rev. ornamented trident-head, between two dolphins, dividing IEP **WNOS below, **O F* below, (cf.S.1223, BMC 671). First with black patina, second with a brown patina, both very fine and scarce. (2)
