Commodus, as Caesar, (A.D. 177-192), AE As, Rome mint, issued A.D. 175-6, (13.258 grams), obv. bust of Commodus to right, around COMMODO CAES AVG FIL GERM SARM, rev. around PIETAS AVG, S C in exergue, knife, aspergillum, jug etc, (S.-, RIC 1539, C.405). Dark brown patination, well centred, extremely fine/good very fine and rare.
