Vespasian, (A.D. 69-79), silver denarius, Byzantium (or Philippi?) mint, issue of A.D. 70, (3.200 grams), obv. IMP CAESAR VESPAS AVG COS II TRP PP, laureate head to right, rev. PACI AVGVSTAE, Victory advancing to left holding wreath, lower left field a monogram of **QU*, (cf.S.2270, RIC 323, RSC 278a). Traces of original mint bloom, irregular flan, nearly extremely fine and a rare type.
