Bombay Presidency, Malabar Coast issues, c. 1730-1796? Velli (or silver) Fanam or fifth rupees (3), similar to Bombay fifth rupees but cruder style, struck with Mumbai (Bombay) mint reading but issued for Tellichery Factory (Pr. 295), others (2) struck at Cannanore mint, one with crude inverted 5, other like an inverted 3 (both Pr.296, and cf. Pr. 296), another, struck at Mumbai in 1805 for Tellichery Factory, obv. scales and T, date 1805 below, (Pr. 299), (KM. 273, 274, 275, 278). Very fine or better. (4)
