China, Western Zhou (Chou) Dynasty, State of Qi, round cash with square hole (350 - 300 B.C.), Pre-Qin type (Qi united China in 221 B.C.) "Ban Liang" (half ounce), two long characters either side, diameter 32 mm, (Hartill 7.3 [R10], Sch. 83, TFP 415, Pl.48]; others Western Han Dynasty Type, (175-119 B.C.), similar smaller diameter 23-28 mm as varieties (Hartill 7.16, 7.19, 7.29, etc. Sch. 92, 102, 104 [3], 105 [2], 107 [3], 108 [2], TFP 421-2, 433 etc.); another 17 mm, (cf.Hartill 7.10 but with rim, but probably a modern issue). Fine - good very fine, some varieties rare. (16)
