Eadgar, (959-975), silver penny, two line type, "North Eastern" group mint, (1.32 grams), obv. small cross in centre, around EADGAR REX I, rev. HERIG/ER MO in two lines, three small crosses in centre, trefoils top and bottom, (Moneyer Heriger), (S.1129, N.741). Lightly toned and slightly bent, very fine and scarce.
Ex R. Cullum Collection, purchased from B.A. Seaby, Ltd, London, December 28, 1944 for 12/-.
