SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrius I, (162-155 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.61 grams), Antioch mint, issued 156-5 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrius to right with laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, in exergue HP monogram, to right BASILEWS, to left DHMHTRIOU SWTHROS, (SMA Newell 101, BMC 24, cf.S.7015). Good very fine.
