Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochus II, (261-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.772 grams), Series III, Seleucia on Tigris mint, issued 255-246 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus I to right, rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, on right, **BASILEWS and to left **ANTIOXOU, to left and right monograms, (cf.S.6886, Newell ESM 189, SNG Spaer 390-1, ACNAC Houghton 963, BMC 18). Nearly very fine, scarce.
