Description
Kakwayhids of Kurdistan, Zahir al din abu Mansur Faramurz, (A.H. 433-443) (A.D. 1041-1051), gold dinar, Isfahan mint (Western Iran), A.H. 435, = A.D. 1043, with additional field inscriptions and citing Caliph Al Qa'im Suzerain Tughril Beg Seljuk, (A.1592, M.620-1). Nearly extremely fine, scarce.
The Kakwayhids came like the Buyids, from the mountains of Western Iran. During the years around A.H. 400 they occupied parts of Southwestern Iran from the Buyids but were soon obliged to acknowledge the suzerainty of the Seljuks by whom they were subsequently suppressed. This issue from Isfrahan of 435 was from a large find from the 1960's.
