AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE as, Rome mint, issued 15 B.C. by Cn. Calpurnius Piso, (10.57 grams), others (2, one with reverse double struck) by L. Naevius Surdinus, (9.96 grams and 9.075 grams), another by C. Plotius Rufus, (10.77 grams), obv. bare head to right of Augustus around partial legends of CAESAR AVGVSTVS TRIBVNIC POTEST, rev. mostly with partial legends around a large SC, (cf.S.510, RIC 382, 386 (2), 389, C.379, 483 (2), 504, CBN 448, 483 (2), 510 [same obverse die]). Generally very good - fine, mostly weak in places as usual, all scarce. (4)
