SICILY, Syracuse, under Roman rule, (after 212 B.C.), AE 21, (8.546 grams), obv. laureate head of Zeus to left, dotted border, rev. galloping biga driven right by Nike, in exergue **SURAKOSIWN*, (S.1229, BMC 691, SNG ANS 1066-1071). Weakly struck in places, nearly very fine and scarce.
