George III, Resolution and Adventure medal 1772, in platina (brass) (44mm) struck from the first reverse die with die break, by BF (Boulton) (on truncation), die axis upright or en medaille (M.H.373; BHM 165). With small suspension ring (cf L.R. Smith, Sale 80, lot 591), not worn but heavily blistered on both sides resulting in piece missing on cheek, result of action of salt water (?) otherwise fine or better and rare.
