Mint state as struck, brilliant proof-like field, uncirculated and rare in this condition.

Broad flan, as struck with full mint bloom, uncirculated and one of the finest known.

Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, on right **BASILEWS, to left **ANTIOCOU*, to left and right monograms, (cf.S.6866, Newell ESM 157, SNG Spaer 291, Hunter 16). High relief, attractive dark grey tone, Very fine and scarce. $$ Newell notes a total of 8 tetradrachms of this type mostly in public collections.
