French Fleet Defeated off Cape Finistere, 1747, in silver (43mm) (MH 345; Eimer 616), by T.Pingo, obverse, bust of Lord Anson left being crowned by Victory with her foot on the prow of a galley, reverse, Victory holding a wreath and trident and standing upon a sea monster, six laurel wreaths around with the names of the principal officers of Anson's ship, Centurion, on her world circumnavigation 1740-1744 (type with Campbel). Nicely toned, a few very minor edge nicks and a few marks in Anson's hair, otherwise extremely fine and rare.

Battle of the Nile, Davidson's Medal, 1798, in bronze (47mm), by C.H. Kuchler, Nelson's, bust on shield held by Peace, rev. British Fleet at Aboukir Bay, edge impressed 'From Alexr. Davidson Esq St James's Square Tribute of Regard' with blue ribbon as issued to ratings (Eimer 890; BHM 447). Attractive brown patina, extremely fine.
