MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.3 grams), Perga mint, issued 190-189 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, Seleucid anchor countermark on head, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **LB* to left, to right **[A]LEXANDR[OU]*, (cf.S.6713, Price 2946, BMC 2946, M.1246, Propontis Hoard 137-9). Good fine.
