ANGLESEY, Parys Mine Co., pattern or mule penny by W.J. Taylor (c.1860) obverse die as D&H 251, reverse head of Athena left wearing Corinthian helmet (D&H 265 bis) hairline die break from edge at 3 o'clock to middle of cape on side of head on obverse, another break at 4 o'clock. Even brown patina with subdued original mint red on reverse, uncirculated and excessively rare.
