ANGLESEY, Parys Mine Co., penny, 1788, a proof struck in silver (D&H 199 this piece), only proofs in silver are known from these dies. The rim bruised on obverse at 9 o'clock and 11 o'clock, somewhat handled, toned extremely fine/good extremely fine and extremely rare.

Purchased from Baldwin in 1994 and probably ex A.W. Jan Collection (with printed ticket) and R. Dalton Collection.
