CAPE TOWN, Transport tokens for electric tram-cars, 1/2 pink (3) 1/2 countermarked on yellow (11, six different advertisements), red (13, 11 different advertisements), green (16, 12 different complete), aluminium (4) and cu-nickel (2), these tokens were in use from about 1915 till 1920 (T.C.4; M.a range between 42-116) a total of 32 different. Fine to extremely fine (49).
Ex R.J.Ford Collection (lot 910 part) and the others mainly ex Spink Sale 96 (lot 363 part). A few plastic ex R.J.Stewart (1969) and G.Patterson (1977) Collections.
