SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrios I, (162-150 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.632 grams), Antioch mint, issued year 159 (154/153 B.C.), obv. diademed head of Demetrios to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEW[S], to left **DHMH TRIOU, and **SWTHROS, monograms to far left of **PA over HP, date **QN*P in exergue, (S.7015, SMA Newell 108, ACNAC Houghton 153, SNG Spaer 1270). Slightly off centred on the obverse, otherwise very fine/good very fine and scarce.
