SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrios I, (162-155 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.658 grams), Antioch mint, issued period 162-156 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrios to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS, to left **DHMHTRIOU, HP monogram to left, (S.7014, SMA Newell 97, BMC 28). Very fine or better, scarce.
