NEW SOUTH WALES, fifteen pence or 'dump', 1813 (Mira dies A/1). Traces of original coin on the reverse, light grey tone, very fine and rare in this condition.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 47 (lot 1526), L. Baton and Dr. John Falkner John Blaxland effects, great grandson of Gregory Blaxland (and Rev. Samuel Marsden). Dr. Blaxland in a signed letter by Len Barton of Barton's Antiques & Arts (24th June, 1981) (and included in this lot) is claimed to have informed Len Barton that the coin was presented to his family by Governor Macquarie to commemorate the birth of William Blaxland and the crossing of the Blue Mountains.
