NEW SOUTH WALES, five shillings or holey dollar, 1813, struck from a Potosi Mint eight reales of Charles IIII dated 1799 (Mira-Noble 1799/11 0- dies II/10 - B/11). Flan cracked, obverse condtermark worn before the coin was straightened from dishing (hence the crack) reverse countermark very clear. Fine/very fine and very rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 47 (lot 1523), N. Langdon and L. Barton Collections, said to have been obtained from the collections of Sir Marcus Clarke and Alfred Chitty, together with a certified Memorandum of Identification.
