SYRIA, Seleucis & Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem (Antioch), Nero (A.D. 54-68), silver tetradrachm, (14.200 grams), obv. laureate head to left of Nero, **NERWN* KAICAP [CEBACTOC, rev. ETOYC **DIR* (year 114 of Caesarian Era = A.D. 65-6), eagle standing to left, on club, wings spread, palm branch in front (cf.S.618, Prieur 91, RPC 4191). Antioch at this time was striking in good silver with a high standard of portraiture. This example provides a good portrait of Nero.
