USA, COLONIAL, William Wood's Rosa Americana Coinage, 1722-24, George I, trial twopence in copper (Breen 93; Martin 3.16-E.8) broad 31mm, thin flan. Light brown patina with hints of original mint red in protected areas, uncirculated and probably unique.

Ex John J. Ford Collection, part IX (lot 177), previously the Garrett Collection 1/10/80 (lot 1251), ex Parsons & Elsworth collections, exhibited by Henry Chapman during 1912 meeting of the New York Numismatic Club.
