Peloponnesos, Arkadia, Arkadian League, Tegea Mint, (c.465-460 B.C.), silver triobol or hemidrachm, (2.72 g), obv. laureate head of Zeus Lykaios, laureate and seen partially from the front, seated to left on a low throne with himation wrapped round waist, holds sceptre, eagle standing to left with spread wings, with countermarked owl to left, rev. Kallisto head to right in bun within incuse square, around retrograde legend [A]PK to left APIQON to right, (cf.S.2677), cf.BCD 1711 [LHS 96, May 8-9 2006], Williams 92bis, obv. die 62, rev. die 54 in poor state). Dark patination, nearly very fine and extremely rare, an unpublished die combination.

Ex BCD Collection, obtained from CNG (as a private purchase from BCD) and sold to collector January 20, 2011, a similar example of different dies realised $2800 SFR in LHS Sale 96 (May 2006) lot 1711. Dr. A. Walker in the Leu notes, has identified the die maker as the "Kopper Master". Lot includes CNG ticket BCD ticket and photos and extensive description by collector in a flip .
