Macedon, Kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.25 g), Amphipolis III mint, issued c. 323/2-315 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, dotted border, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, crescent below, and **P.* below right, above **FILIP POU*, (cf.S.6683, Le Rider Pl.46, 4, [Pl.46, p.123], Hunterian 55, SNG ANS 737 [similar dies]). Bright, the reverse with one cut, otherwise nearly extremely fine/good very fine and very scarce.

Ex George Tuck Pittman, of Lawton Oklahama USA, Collection, sold in Noble Numismatics Sale 76 (lot 3177), with descriptive ticket in a flip. A similar example in Sale 137 realised $1300.
