NEW ZEALAND, printed invitations to T.D.Burnett MP, a New Zealand Government member of parliament to attend various official events, includes from the Mayor to lunch at Hydro Grand Hotel on 5 August 1921 to meet His Excellency The Governor General and Viscountess Jellicoe; from the Prime Minister to luncheon at the Town Hall, Wellington on 8 March 1927 to meet Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of York; from the Aide-de-Camp in waiting at the request of Their Excellencies The Governor-General and The Lady Alice Fergusson to dinner on 30 July 1928; from Nine Reformers of 1912 to dinner in the Old Legislative Council Chamber on 24 September 1928; from the Aide-de-Camp in waiting at the request of His Excellency The Governor-General to a garden party at Government House, Wellington on 14 May 1937; together with an envelope addressed to Mrs Burnett and a card to hand to the Aide-de-Camp on arrival. Two items with rust mark from paper clip and the envelope with foxing spots, also a few items with age toning, otherwise very fine. (7)

Thomas Burnett, 25 November 1877 - 30 November 1941, was a New Zealand politician of the Reform Party, and switched to the National Party after the 1935 election. He represented his electorate from 1919 through to 1941.
