CENTENARY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA, 1929, in bronze (39mm) (C.1929/2); RAAF 36 Squadron 50th Anniversary, 1942-1992, in dark bronze (48mm). The first with scratches and edge bumps, otherwise very fine, the second with some tone spots, otherwise uncirculated and scarce.

36 Squadron is a strategic transport squadron operating Boeing c-17 Globemaster III heavy lifters. It was formed at RAAF Station Laverton in Victoria in March 1942. The above fiftieth anniversary medal was probably only available to squadron members when it was issued.
