EDWARD VI, (1547-1553), fine silver coinage 1551-3, silver crown, 1553/2 mm tun, (30.62 g), obv. ...FRANCI'. Z : HIB': REX::, pellet either side of date, flat top 3 of date over 2, (S.2478, N.1933, Lingford A-18). Light grey attractive tone, slightly double struck on the obverse, good very fine or better and rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 92, lot 3063, The Cornwall Collection. Previously Lord (Rodney) Smith of Marlow Collection, purchased from Spink London, February 1990, with ticket.
