GEORGE V, Melbourne Mint, pattern kookaburra square penny, 1921, in cupro-nickel (4.50g) by D.Richardson (R type 11; McD type 12). Evenly worn on the obverse, believed to be a Mint official's pocket piece, fine/very fine and rare.

Reported to be the coin A.M.Le Souef (Deputy Master of the Royal Mint Melbourne) carried in his wallet.
