Italy, Maurizio Bufalini, Cesena, 1863, in bronze (50mm), by A.Pieroni, ring top suspension, obverse, head of Marizio Bufalini left, reverse, text translated as, 'GLI Admirers, Florence, December 1863'; Giordano Bruno, commemorative issue, 1889, in bronze (65mm), obverse, statue of Giordano Bruno at the Campo dei Fiori, the Dominican friar who was burned at the stake in 1600 for heresy as a 'free thinker', reverse, text which roughly translates as his hope that the youth of the University of Rome compete with civilised nations. The first with rubbing on obverse, the second with edge bump on reverse and a few small dig marks, otherwise nearly very fine. (2)
