LATE ROMAN AND EARLY BYZANTINE, 6th century A.D., spherical commercial weights, 52.8 grams (two ounce weight or sextans), with incuse letters X/B (cf.S.Bendall Byzantine Weights 31, p.27 as illustrated p.26); others of smaller weight including rectangular 9.7 grams inscribed NB (two nomismata coin weight) (Bendall 102 p.42, Pl.43); others as spherical commercial weights 6.7 grams and 6.4 grams (sicilius). Three with dirt encrustations, otherwise very fine and first and second rare. (4)
