PALESTINE, Roman Procurator of Judaea, Marcus Ambibulus under Augustus, (A.D. 9-12), copper prutah, (2.232 grams), obv. ear of barley surrounded by Greek inscription, KAICAPOC, rev. eight branched palm tree, across L **LQ* = year 39 = A.D. 9, (S.5607, H.636 [101], AJC II Supplement V, No.3, Meshorer 217). Very fine with a very clear date reading.
